Lonely Soldier Designs, also known as James Ferris, has been making, selling and teaching Wire Jewellery for the last 5 years.

It all started with a Sharylin Miller book called Wire Art Jewellery back in 2011. The book got James making and twisting wire and started him on the road to making his first pendant. He is known for his high level of technical skill in each piece, creating consistent and beautiful pieces of wire jewellery.

Since then, self taught, James has been pushing the boundaries of wire pendant design, writing and creating designs for Making Jewellery Magazine, demo-ing at bead shows, teaching 1-to-1 workshops and being the lead tutor at the UK Wire Retreat.

James’s studio is at The Glastonbury Wire Studio, where all his pieces are created and where he teaches his workshops. Based in Glastonbury, surrounded by all the beauty, myth and magic of this Somerset town.
