We’re delighted to announce that the Beadworkers Guild will be attending our March show at Kempton Park Racecourse.

The Beadworkers Guild loves nothing more than introducing their art/craft to newcomers. Space permitting, they will be demonstrating and asking people to try one of three different techniques, suitable for beginners. They will bring a display of members’ work, based on a ‘sunrise’ colour theme, which will inspire both beginners and beyond to pick up a needle and have a go. With their friendly guidance you will be surprised at how easy and enjoyable it can be.

The Beadworkers Guild (BWG) is a charitable organisation that promotes all aspects of beadwork and supports members through their quarterly Journal, books, website and Facebook. They also have a distance learning opportunity for those who wish to develop their skills further in the comfort of their own home.

Their main event is in May each year, where members get together and bead in a ‘party’ atmosphere, make new friends and re-connect with existing friends.

In 2018 is the ‘Bead Festival’, a two day event, and in 2019 is The Great British Bead Show, a 4 day event – the largest of its kind in the UK. Both events have a Bead Bazaar, open to the public, on the Sunday. For more information visit www.beadworkersguild.org.uk.
